A LARGE bunch of babies!

We had a HUGE second litter from one of our broken orange does that was born on Mar 14/14. She had a whopping 9 babies with two of them being peanuts that died. Color wise there looks to be one broken black, two black, one black & orange tri, two black & orange harlequins and one magpie. All the babies are doing really well under this mom's watchful eye! It's been at least 7 years since we've had a broken black born here(which is Mom's favorite color) so she has already laid the "it's mine" claim on this little one!

On the second note we are still sold out at the moment and will be until at least June. That being said 99% of the animals are sold in Beaverlodge not in Calgary as we usually sell animals during the spring, summer and fall which is where the herd in during those months. There are several other breeders that are within the Calgary area that usually will have stock available year round. We also operate on a first come first serve basis meaning that we usually don't do a waiting list, when something comes available it gets posted here and then it's sold that way.

Here's a photo of mom and dad of this newest litter!

News update

For those folks who haven't noticed. . . things REALLY slow down here at SLR over the winter months! We usually don't have anything to sell and don't have more then a few litters born during the winter months. Well we have two litters due near the end of January, two sisters bred to our Thumper and have one little harli guy from the summer available. He'd be best suited as a pet or brood but I'll try to get some new photos of him when we get back to Beaverlodge!

Anyways here's some photos of Thumper and the junior photos of the gals that he's bred too! They should make some good show bunnies for spring!

A Junior Buck

This little dude is a sibling to the tort doe and we're going to grow him out a little to see how he matures as we currently have no broken bucks to breed too! We've retired a lot of our boys so it's time to bring up some new ones and this little guy is one!

A promising JR

This little gal was the smallest in the litter and not the nicest put together doe in the beginning so I ignored her until now but she has really blossomed in the last week! She has that show attitude and wants everyone to look at how pretty she is. She also has a beautiful smooth and well put together body with awesome bone and a big chunky head for a doe!

Anyways enough of me giving you a mental image, here's her updated photos taken today!

Another cute little doe!

Here's another sibling in the litter born in July. This little gal is the last girl to be posted but just as cute as the others. She'll make a good brood doe when she's grown up!

We also had another new litter born on September 19/13 which consits of two heavily marked harlis and a tort. We'll post photos of those guys when they are older!

The cutest little tort doe

So this little gal is pretty much the cutest little tort doe ever! She is the smallest in the litter but is a very typey bunny and we're excited to watch her grow up and fill out. This girl is most of the rabbitry visitors favorite when they stop at the baby section.

We've also got these girls bred;
Aiden to Sassy
Aiden to Seven
Aiden to Dixie
Buster to Kendall

New babies at SLR

We are excited to annouce a new litter born on the 10th of July out of SLR's Aiden and HAR's Promise. There was four bunnies born, two broken oranges one doe and one buck, a black & orange harli doe and a tort doe. They are super cute babies and we managed to get some photos of them last night!

On that note we are officially SOLD OUT meaning that we have nothing currently available! If you are interested please inquire in a month or two and we'll know more about other litters that may be availble then.

Here's one little one and the others will be posted in the days to follow. This gal is a black and orange harlequin and cute as a button! She's the largest doe in the litter but is still pretty cute looking at this stage plus what a little sweetheart to boot!
