This is the other doe that was born on Christmas day, sibling to the tri doe that was previously posted. We took some photos of both girls at the same time so thought to share the one's of this little gal. She has already found a new home in the GP area and we are keeping the tri doe to show and breed.
Anyways here's the little cute spunky gal.
Raising Holland Lops since 2000 we are located near Beaverlodge Alberta Canada and we strive to produce excellent show quality tri and tort Holland Lops.

An update at SLR
Spring in just around the corner and so close that we can feel it! The snow is melting and we are getting ready to start calving any day now. We were down to Calgary last weekend and picked up two boys who were posted for sale, those two little cuties are gone now so we are sold out yet again. The plan is however to bring up some more breeding stock again in May and have some little ones born at the farm over the summer.
We also have a posing article on the to do list so look for that shortly here. Until then have a fantastic weekend and enjoy this new photo of GC SLR's Tritan taken this weekend. This guy was the number 9th Top Lop in 2010 and is getting pretty old now but is still hanging around having a litter or two of kids! He was born and raised here at SLR and comes from a long line of really nice homebred tort does. For being so old he looks fantastic but is starting to show his age. I sure do adore this little guy = )

A cute little tri doe
This little gal was born at Christmas along with her broken tort sister. They are a cute pair of girls and we finally got around to taking some photos of them!
Anyways I will let her photo do the introduction! This little gal will be sticking around to either show even though she's torted or to join the brood doe program and make some clean typey little tris = ) She reminds me a lot of the beautiful tri girl SLR's Sassy when she was younger!

For Sale In Beaverlodge
These two little dudes were born a year ago and are now looking for new homes in the Beaverlodge area. Please note that we seldom sell anything in the Calgary area as we are not often down in that neck of the woods!
Both these guys are available for $40 each and come with a bag of transitional food, a free nail clipping, tattooed, up to date on deworming and a 30 day health guarantee. They do not come with papers as they are being sold as pet quality. This means that we consider them healthly and friendly but that they don't have quite the right stuff needed to pass on to future generations for the positive progression of the Holland Lop breed standard. They can be neutered at the Bear Creek or West County animal clinics for $110 plus tax and we do recommend doing so as this gets rid of the chance of testicular cancer later in life which is a common problem in older intact male rabbits. Anways here are the photos of the "kids" taken on March 2/13. Please e-mail me at starlitrabbitry@hotmail.com with any questions on the boys, these are the only two that we have available at the moment.

New Christmas Babies at SLR!
We had a litter born here on Christmas day out of SLR's Aiden a harlequin buck and a broken tort doe out of GC SLR's Tritan and GC SLR's Bailey. It sounds like she had one harli who didn't make it and has two remaining tri babies. These guys should be really nice chunky babies when they are grown up! We're going to be heading down to Calgary next weekend so will post some new photos of some of the bunnies as soon as we get there!
As a note too for anyone who is trying to reach me via e-mail please be aware that for some reason that I have not yet figured out my e-mail account has been sorting a lot of my incoming mail to the junk folder! So if you've sent me an e-mail and have not gotten a responce back please try again or leave a comment on here!

It's beginning to look like Christmas!
Christmas is our favorite time of year here and it's quickly coming! We've been busy at the farm vaccinating the calves and just got them all weaned on Monday. We just have the cows to preg check and deworm and then things should be quiet until we start calving on March 31st.
Robin and I just got back from a flying trip down to Calgary for my sisters wedding. We were only able to stay down there for 24 hours because of our work schedules but was able to have a look through the bunnies and see how things are going! The little tri JR doe has really popped into herself and is looking like a beautiful showy little doe! Sadly none of the litters caught from the last breeding and we did end up loosing Tahiti Treat to a pregnancy complication. The gals are all re-bred though for Christmas babies! When I'm back down there around the 27th I will take some photos of the two old junior bucks that are available too so stay tuned for those photos!
Anyways I thought to share a photo of a good friend here who was really put off that we went away and did not take him to see what was happening down south! Even with being gone for just about three days including the driving he was SO excited when we got home that he had to tell us about it non-stop while I was out doing chores for everyone else! What a silly kid! We've also officially had this guy now for three years which makes him ten years old, he is now broke to both ride and drive so there is never a dull day which is spent outside!

Another new addition
Well here's a photo of another new gal that we picked up last weekend! Her name is Tahiti Treat and she's a black & orange tri doe. She's the mom of the junior doe that was posted a week or so ago and is fingers crossed, bred back to the same buck for repeat litter. Many thanks to Sharin at Hoppy Acres for these gals!
We've had such a hard summer as far as getting live babies goes here that we're really helping that these new gals can give us a hand to jumpstart the breeding again.
We hope everyone is staying warm with the colder temperatures and the white stuff slowly falling!
