For Sale Bunnies

We're posting a few of our bunnies that are available to head to their new homes now. I can meet in Beaverlodge on Thursday and Fridays and possibly Grande Prairie(we have no trips that way planned right now). All our bunnies are tattooed, dewormed and nails trimmed before they go to their new homes. * SOLD * SLR's F45 Broken Tort doe out of SLR's Huckleberry Finn and Reg. GC SLR's Summer Breeze. This gal is out of one of our sweetest bunnies in the barn so I'm sure she'll follow that trait! She'll mature to a big girl and has more overall length in body then I'd like to see. She is out of our tri program.

* SOLD * SLR's F43 Blk/orange Tri Buck out of SLR's Huckleberry Finn and Reg. SLR's fly Girl. This guy needs to go to a home that has previous bunny handling experience as he has quite a dominant personality. He's not currently a biter however I can see him going in that direction if he doesn't have a good match for a handler. If he's going to a pet home then I would strongly recommend that he be neutered sooner rather then later. He is a beautifully marked(minus his missing nose marking!) tri buck and has some nice features going for him to be used as a brood buck. Contact me if you are interested in this guy.

* SOLD * SLR's F44 Orange buck out of SLR's Huckleberry Finn and SLR's Lonesome Dove. This guy is a beautiful bright clean orange with lots of rufus. He has that cute factor and will make a good pet. He's a spunky dude with lots of energy and he can be a bit spooky right now but I'm sure he'll settle down. He'll be a little guy and he's just too narrow and long in overall body type to go for anything other then a nice family pet. $60 for pet.

* SOLD * SLR's Jersey - Broken orange out of SLR's Chambler(blk/org tri) and Cutie Patootie T'fer Tigger(blk/org harli) DOB June 25 2014

Jersey has been a wonderful brood doe much like her mother but better. She's a great doe to foster kits too and has her babies tucked into the nest all by herself. She is a smutty orange and has produced colors like blk/org tri & harli and oranges. Colors in background include blk/org tri & harli, blue/fawn harli, orange, blue otter, chestnut, chin and black steel. She's very much a doe in type and lacks thick bone and overall substance. Her crown is slipped & ears could be opened up. Cute little doe head and a wonderful personality. We're keeping a daughter and a son out of her so it's time for her to move on and give someone else some cute little babies.

*** I have always thought this doe was a broken orange however I am now thinking that she is actually a tort otter. I don't have a self buck to breed her to, to test that theory out though. I've also tried to breed her a couple times this spring and she has not been interested nor has she gotten bred either of those times. I would suspect this would be more of a mood thing but I can not guarantee that she'll produce kits anymore.

SLR's F46 Tort otter buck out of Reg. SLR's Jesse James and GC KP's Treasure DOB May 6/17.

The only bunny that has been produced out of Treasure and he's a tiny little thing! He should mature around the 2.5-3 pound mark and has a very bold and outgoing personality. He'll come up to investigate you but isn't sure that he wants to stay for cuddles! He's being offered to a pet home for $60.00

Break!

We are holding off on all rabbit sales for the next month! During this time we'll also be taking a bit of a break so will be slow to answer e-mails. We will be branding calves at home over the next couple weeks to be able to move all the pairs out on grass!

For Sale Animals

Spring has sprung here on the ranch! We ask you to kindly be patient when contacting us this time of the year as we are just starting to calve and that involves 24/7 work out in the calving field. Things will really get busy for us come mid April to the beginning of June. I'll try to stay on top of e-mails during this time but if I don't get back to you right away this is why! We're trying to sell off the Hollands we have here that keep giving us otters as we don't have room for another color project! So here's some that are available and we'll also have a brood/show quality broken black otter Jr doe and a show/brood quality black otter junior buck born Feb 28/17 out of Registered SLR's Oreo and SLR's Kavana. We also may add Registered SLR's Jesse James 2 Sr legs to this list as well as I'm wondering if he's not a broken tort otter as well - he won't be listed till fall at the earliest though as I want to test breed him and see what genes he has.

* SOLD * SLR's Kavana a tort otter doe out of GC Reg. Campo's Fire N' Ice x SLR's Lonesome Dove - DOB Mar 4/16. Kavana was bred to a broken black buck with zero otter behind him and produced two black otter kits so I know for a fact she'll produce otter. This is a doe that I really like and wish she could stay around but can not keep the color so she's up for sale. She is just a year old, proven brood doe and has been shown(judges were suspicious she was a tort otter but she wasn't DQ'd for it). If you are looking to produce otters and have a self buck then this gal is the one for you. She was a great mom and even fostered a kit with no issues plus is a very curious outgoing and friendly doe. -$80.00 as brood

We have this little dude for sale who just didn't want to take the normal posed Holland photo so here he is in a non traditional way! He sure is a cutie and very well mannered(he's a calm laid back guy so far!). He'll be available to a pet home for $60.00 as I think he would rather laze around a house then head out to a bunch of rabbit shows! He should mature to the 3.5 pound mark and is a tort otter which is a non showable color. Dad is Registered SLR's Jesse James and mom is SLR's Lonesome Dove. DOB Feb 5/17 He just needs a tattoo and to be weaned from mom(tomorrows the big day!), then he can head to his new home!

Breedings

As some of you know, we've had a HUGE new addition to the SLR family and that new addition is a day short of being 6 months old! We had a little boy in the summertime and that has kept up hopping for the last half a year so we haven't done too much with the bunnies. We are planning on heading to the Wetaskiwin show at the end of the month and also have bred a few gals. We'll be breeding a few more does over the next few days as well - whoever we don't plan on showing in Wetaskiwin.

One broken orange buck and two tort otter bucks. Both tort otter bucks will be FOR SALE once they are weaned from mom at 8 weeks and eating solids fine. Positive pregnancy Kindled Feb 28 - Five total with two broken black otters born DOA(1 was a peanut) and we lost a black otter kit a day after so she's got one black otter and one broken black otter. Kavana's also fostering the harli kit from Summer.
