Meet SLR's Takota

Reg. SLR's Takota was a full sibling to GC SLR's Sakari born out of SLR's Kokanee and SLR's Kandi. This was the first litter combining great type and great clean color born here. The first photo below is of Takota and the second and third are a litter out of him, the broken orange many know as SLR's Fraiser for his cute apple head and SLR's Judas who was sold due to being a blue/fawn. Fraiser is still here making babies with that gorgeous head and continuing on this great line!

In the next post I would love to dive into the difference between a torted and a clean tri as I've found many old photos that are excellent examples!

Meet GC SLR's Sakari

Needless to say this gal is one of the all time favorites as well as the first GC tri we had ever produced. She is an absolute sweetheart and is goregous to go along. She started he show career winning BOB at 8 weeks old over 54 other Hollands! She granded in her first two shows and was retired after a RIS win four years later! We've got some great daughters out of her including SLR's Samara a harli doe who is in several backgrounds of the best tri stuff we've got here. She's certainly getting up there in age now but still has some cute little tri babies now and again.

This is a timeless doe who was carted around to all the displays because of her loveable attitude. Here's some photos collected over the years of her and the adventures!

Here she is with the awards from her first show and a placement ribbon from Greatfalls Montana

She's enjoying some 'play time' in the yard.
Lisa and I with her Angora at the Great Falls show.
At the Edmonton show in Bonny Doon Mall.

A pose photo and one with her brother SLR's Takota who will be the next post!

Enjoy the photos and stay warm in the snowy weather!

Meet GC SLR's Max

Max is a favorite and with looks like his it's easy to see why! He's a gorgeous boy who took home a RIS under judge Allan Ormond way back in 2004. Most of our best bunnies here are out of him or related to him, like GC SLR's Moxie a full Max daughter and GC SLR's Bailey a grand daughter. This guy has been essential in taking our program to the next level. Our boy GC SLR's Tritan is out of GC SLR's Randall who is a daughter of Max. Tritan looks and feels very similar to Max however Max was only shown three times to achieve his GC status.

Here's Max in an senior photo and an older junior photo at the bottom where he hadn't quite filled into himself yet!

Meet Rain the border collie

So this isn't exactly a bunny but none the less I thought to share her too. This is the newest addition to our family at the farm here. Rain's her name and we brought her home just after the May long weeked last year. She's registered with the AKC and is a border collie if you can't tell by the photos. She's my constant companion around the farm here and has been started on herding stock. We have another purebred collie at home named Torque but at nine and a half years old he's getting up in age to do his job hence the new addition.
The first two photos are the most recent ones of her taken on a trip to Calgary in October. The last two are of her the weekend we brought her home. The bunny is SLR's Hazer and having grown up with rabbits Rain is very good with them. Looking back now she was the cutest little puppy!
