A BOB win!

We were lucky enough to have my folks come up and visit for a week during calving season so I took the opportunity to send a few bunnies back down with Mom for her to show at the SARBA Chestermere show. We sent a little 2.5 month old buck down, SLR's Billy the Kidd and he took home a BOB win on Saturday. He's got promise but he needs to grow up too!

We have also had lots of sales inquires lately and we do have some good news, we'll have some bunnies available in the next few weeks! Please note that I breed for myself with the goal to produce a rabbit that is as close to the SOP as possible, I do not breed to fill a sales list and do not keep waiting lists as I can not guarantee when or if I'll have anything available. The best bet is to just check in with me every so often to see what's coming up in the next bit. The ones we have in the boxes right now are starting to hit that ugly stage but we'll go through them and see who we'll post for sale in the next few weeks. We are planning to head to the K-Days show in Edmonton at the end of July and can bring bunnies that are sold and paid for ahead of time, down to meet for pick up at the show.

We'll most likely have a broken tort buck that is turning a SR on July 29th. I kept him back as he was promising enough to grow out however at this point he has more overall length then I like to see. He's been shown and I may show him at K-Days but we'll give him until the entry deadline to decide for sure if he stays or goes. He is out of a tri doe so I can not guarantee that he does not carry the tri gene however I have not seen any sign of it.

We will also have a broken fox buck available regardless of type, this dude could be a BIS winner and we'll still part with him as he is not a color we work with. He's out of Reg. SLR's Wyatt Earp a tri buck with one leg and BIS GC(pending) SLR's Annie Oakley. This is a great opportunity for those who expressed interest in purchasing an Annie kit. He is a broken fox which is an unshowable color but he would work well in an otter program.

We are also on black and orange harlequin over load at the moment with 10 in the boxes of both does and bucks. The majority of these will be available too, some agouti based carrying self, some self based and possibly some otter based.

Look for these guys to be posted when they are around that eight week mark so in about a month. Send me an e-mail at starlitrabbitry @ Hotmail.com if there's one that interests you.
